  • Marcus Hiles is the mastermind behind the visionary Western Rim Property Services. Back in 2004, when Hiles began constructing his company from the ground up he had the vision of Texas hosting beautiful luxury homes that would not break the budget of an average working family. These were homes that would contain such high-end amenities as gyms, clubhouses, infinity pools, and coffee houses. That’s exactly why his real estate company specializes in both luxury homes and low prices.

    How, though, was Marcus Hiles able to create a company, now over $1 billion in assets, that combined aspects that generally require the sacrifice of one for the other? After receiving a Bachelors degree from Rice University and then a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in California, Hiles came back to Texas soil with a unique business model. It was a model he believed in enough to put all of his capital into. This model focused on making his then brand new company, Western Rim Property Services, into a business that did more than just one service within real estate.

    Most companies in real estate will focus on one service and then hire expensive, outside third parties to take care of other parts of the project. This causes prices to skyrocket for tenants. Western Rim Property Services would do everything from locating the perfect location, acquiring tenants, performing the construction and clean up, and then reside over the management role. This all-encompassing approach actually saved money and let the company price its properties at or below their market price.

    Any money saved, however, would go back into providing the community with the most beautiful designs and state-of-the-art amenities like golf courses, infinity pools, wooded park areas, gyms, and coffee houses. While most companies would put extra charges on such luxuries, Marcus Hiles did not. That is why the people who live in his communities love them and Western Rim Property Services has experienced such growth.

    Currently, Western Rim Property Services holds over 7,500 properties and homeowner’s associations under its care. Its growth shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon as its properties are some of the most sought after estates throughout the entire state of Texas. It is obvious for all to see that Marcus Hiles’ care for the customer has paid him back in full. Nonetheless, Hiles continues to care for the people of Texas even in matters outside of his business. His philanthropy extends to frequent donations to charitable groups such as children’s hospitals and disadvantaged women’s organizations.
